James Bennett, PGA, will begin his new duties on Monday, May 23, 2022.

BALTIMORE  May 9, 2022  PRLog — Up to Par Management is happy to announce that James Bennett, PGA, has accepted an offer to join Sparrows Point Country Club as the new Head Golf Professional.

Jim has worked at a number of clubs in the area including The Elkridge Club, Green Spring Valley Hunt Club, and most recently for the last 8 years at Piney Branch Golf Club. “I could not be happier welcoming Jim to the Team here at SPCC. His resume speaks for itself and we are lucky to have secured Jim as our new Head Golf Professional to help lead SPCC into the next chapter and beyond” said Jason Voit, General Manager.

“I am looking forward to this exceptional opportunity to exceed expectations for a Private Club experience as well as building relationships with the Members,” said Jim. “I am excited to increase the programming at Sparrows Point to include more Social golf functions while continuing the tried-and-true SPCC traditions,” he continued. Jim also is looking forward to making golf more accessible for all Members and ages and will be getting our junior camps, leagues, and other golf-oriented activities going quickly.

“We are extremely excited to have Jim joining the Up to Par Management team at Sparrows Point. Jim’s experience and knowledge will help the team bring new and exciting programming to the club,” said Shaun Fronk, Vice President of Operations of Up to Par Management.

Aside from being a Callaway Master Club Fitter and a Class A Professional, Jim and his Wife of 21 years, Vanessa, have 2 sons – Hunter (18) and Jake (13). His favorite course on the East coast, excluding Pine Valley, is Hershey West. He enjoys playing with Members in Pro/Am tournaments. During his time away from the links, Jim enjoys a fine cigar, spending time with his family, and watching his son Jake play baseball.
